Toyota’s “After the Nudge” Campaign: Highlighting Fly Compton’s Impact

Fly Compton Foundation was featured in Toyota’s “After the Nudge” campaign, a national initiative that celebrates the power of mentorship and community support in shaping the lives of young people. The campaign includes a short film that follows a young man’s journey, showing how meaningful “nudges” from family and community — including programs like Fly Compton — can spark transformation and purpose.

As part of the campaign, Fly Compton co-founder Demetrius D. Harris joined Soledad O’Brien and J.R. Smith in a powerful conversation about the importance of exposure, representation, and access to careers in aviation. Harris shared how Fly Compton is giving youth in Compton the tools and training to not only fly, but to reimagine their futures.
